Barb was inspired by women's movement of the late 60's and early 70's. Flower Power. Both sides are painted in with a black lace detail and flowers highlighting a stylized hummingbird.
Raised in Minnesota, Barb inherited a love of the outdoors from her father and sewing skills from her mother, a professional seamstress. As an award winning fiber artist and competitive quilter, Barb applies the rules of good design and the painterly skills she learned while earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts. Barb is a creative professional who was most recently featured in an 8 page article in the Winter 2020 Art Quilting Studio magazine. Her original works can be found in private collections across the world from Arizona to Australia.
