"Creating art defines me." Kim-Sandy's appreciation for art has led her to push her personal limits trying new ways to express herself. " It softens life's troubling times, brings me joy and truly gives me a sense of freedom. My hands and mind design, my torch and kiln have the final say. Most every piece has its own element of surprise. A gift unraveled."
Fiber arts led her to stained glass, lampwork, kiln formed glass, clay and metal. Her vision for her art comes predominantly from nature. Experiencing the beauty of ocean reefs and landscapes.
She has had the pleasure of sharing skills through teaching others. She has been a highlighted artist at Anchorage Museum of Arts. Her work has been on display in the Wisconsin Governor's mansion.
