Lori ventured from the old-style home arts, and began a new adventure with metal art through the Bell Metal Club in Sun City, AZ. Having never worked with metal, or tools of any sort, this was a complete new beginning. During the past 7 years, she has begun to explore utilizing techniques of torching, burnishing, and texturizing metal through not only the grinding process but application of other tools prior to powder coating to lift light and depth to the metal. After 59 years in the Pacific Northwest, she lives half time in each Arizona and Washington State.
Knowing that transformations are asymmetrical, and not of a single piece, wanting to share hope with precariously and unhoused and food insecure that there is a path forward, even when it is not smooth. But also that you don't need paint or trimmings to get there; you can burnish and strengthen what is in you to become and overcome.
A transaction fee of 5% plus $0.30 will be applied, to ensure that the intended bid amount is received by the organization.
If you are not present for auction item pickup, please make arrangements with Take Flight staff for alternate pickup, local delivery, or shipping at an additional cost.
