The black and while lines represent the prisons we place ourselves in. The colors are our truth peeking through. When we open our wings, it creates lift and allows us to truly soar.
Kara is originally from Michigan and has been a valley resident for over 20 years. She creates artwork that speaks volumes. Using vivid colors, layers, various shapes, and textures, she enjoys exploring the world of abstract and mixed media art. Her work is varied, complex, and evokes emotion.
She was an exchange student through Rotary and admires their support and involvement in the community.
Using her artwork, Calder's Garden, as the basis, I will be using acrylics, ink, charcoal, and other media to create the butterfly design. The purpose of this creation is to encourage others to transform their life, spread their wings, and breathe new light.
