Help the redevelopment of the Village of Kworijik in despereate need by funding the rebuild of a home destroyed.
Kworijik Houses Cost - $1,500 each
- Kworijik is a village approximately seven miles outside of Juba. It is a community of Bari farmers, and Mundari cattle keepers.
- Over the last few years conflict arose between the two because the cattle grazing was destroying the fields and gardens. The cattle keepers were the only ones armed. On Nov. 30, 2020, they attacked the Bari people and destroyed an entire village.
- Over 50 people were killed including women and children. Over 5,000 homes were burned and destroyed and all of their possessions were taken. The Bari people were displaced and forced to leave the area. The government refused to step in and help.
- In March 2021, the people started to return and they are desperately trying to rebuild their homes. The church in the village remains standing. We have committed to help them build 20 small homes.
