Help provide reliable water sources for entire villages by funding a Well!
Cost of a Well - $10,000 each (Complete with Drilling and Pump)
- Many rural villages do not have easy access to water within walking distance. Some women walk 30 – 45 minutes carrying a 20-liter jerrycan on their head just to get water for their families from the nearest well. That water is needed for washing clothes, bathing children, cooking and every other need so it's an incredible amount of work and very time consuming.
- In a village, the goal of community development and transformation around the centrality of the church and where we are doing Bible schools, evangelism, church planting and even church construction, we categorize their basic needs in order of priority and then we can help them with one or two of these projects at a time.
- Examples are women empowerment, village learning center, and mobile medical clinic. We screen their greatest needs and highest priorities. A well may be the highest priority in some of these areas, especially in South Sudan.
- A drilling company that can go through rock and drill a well deep enough that will not go dry during dry season costs $10,000. There are small hand wells that can be drilled with hand drilling machines but they won’t go through rock and they won’t supply water during dry season.
All amounts received over the fundraising goal for "Fund Now" items Favor International reserves the right to use where most needed.
