Over the past 4 years, the Global Climate Pledge has grown to become one of the fastest growing individual and small business/organization Climate Pledges in the world.
We now have multiple teams working on outreach, educational tools, webinars, publications, events, etc. in the effort to act on climate.
Our greatest goal is to get 2 Billion people taking climate action—and it all starts with a simple pledge!
Studies show that when you take a pledge, prior to taking that action, you have an 80% probability of sticking to the commitment.
Our staff and teams need your help to continue our successes in providing this valuable asset and resources to individuals and groups globally.

The Global Climate Pledge
Whether someone is new to the climate movement or they are already an international climate leader with many years of experience, the Global Climate Pledge is for them!
Tackling the climate crisis is one of our generation’s biggest challenges, but we believe that TOGETHER, we can achieve success.
We ask that our people start with this pledge and commit to take at least one new action.
We have 2 different pledges that can be shared.
1 for the individual
2 for small businesses, organizations, universities, etc.
Why?
We now have 8 billion people on our planet. The Global Climate Pledge is seeking to engage 25% of that population. We ask for those who are leading a carbon-intensive lifestyle to start making changes, but we also want to include those who are most at risk to help us build a brighter future for all!
We recognize the progress our national governments and international organizations (like the UN) are making, but we know there is an urgent need to engage citizens and additional NGOs, businesses, governments, etc. in every country to assure we hold global warming well below 2℃ to benefit our health, security and prosperity. This is the time we can come together to decrease our global emissions exponentially.
Unique Qualities of the Global Climate Pledge
The Global Climate Pledge is an inspiring, ambitious new movement inviting all to take climate action and come together in an exciting step toward a promising future!
Both for Individuals, along with the diverse stakeholder (we have 2 different pledges for them to sign)
We have very specific, ambitious goals
We have a Pledge, but we also include specific action items to apply
Nobody is left behind or ignored. We are focused on diversity in getting signatories in EVERY country, territory, province, city, etc
We are engaging SME’s and not just corporations
Engaging Chambers of Commerce and Rotary Clubs that have an ethic toward sustainability
We are focused on diversity in getting signatories from various stakeholders (Indigenous nations, religious orgs, cities, regions, businesses, trade orgs, etc)
Our pledge inspires and focuses on positive ways toward change — not just on the crises.. Yes, we need to understand and educate about challenges, but we must be excited by all the progress we can make together and the brighter future we can all create.
Goals
Engage 2 billion people in climate action.
Include participants from every single country in the world with diverse stakeholders, including citizens, businesses, cities, regions, Indigenous people, religious organizations, etc.
Establish leaders (citizen leaders, NGO leaders, government leaders, religious leaders, etc,) for the Pledge in every single country.
Holding press events and signatory action events in every country.
Inspire 8 billion new climate actions.
Stabilize our climate to not exceed 2 degrees Celsius warming above pre-industrial levels.
Inspire and initiate new innovations, activities, actions, organizations, and leaders to stabilize our climate and create a new and inspiring future for all.
What Difference Does a Pledge Make?
Most of us are aware that there is a climate emergency, but the key is being able to move people from awareness to action.
We need a simple way to inspire and create a momentum to engage large groups of citizens, businesses, governments, NGOs, and other organizations to start altering our daily actions. A pledge is an easy, formal promise that has been proven to change our behavior.
Studies show that “People who Pledge, Act!
And research has shown that those who publicly pledge to do something are more likely to follow through than those who don’t pledge. The Global Climate Pledge is a form of commitment that allows us to stick to our goals that we may be tempted to give up.
There is a social presence that helps each of us stay committed by public recognition and reward.
By being part of the larger group of climate leaders, we can accomplish difficult goals that we might have trouble achieving alone.
Successes
A few of our successes include:
We have successfully created over 50 climate toolkits and written over 60 educational and inspiring blog posts to ignite change
We are successful in building one of the largest climate movements within Rotary International—with over 700 clubs and 6 districts in 92 countries signing the pledge and committing to climate action
We have successfully built multiple teams of talented, diverse, passionate and experienced leaders in the following areas: Sustainable Fashion, Businesses, Universities, Media/Communication, NGO’s, Agriculture, Rotary, Sports, Ocean Protection and more.
Our teams have committed over 17,000 hours of volunteer talent to the Global Climate Pledge cause.
Our NGO team has successfully identified and listed over 1,000 reputable climate and environmentally- focused organizations in every single country and territory in the world to have as a resource for others to utilize.
We successfully share and keep track of ALL climate-focused pledges around the world and have identified over 1,400,000 pledges representing 2.7 billion people.
