This Shawl is made from 100% alpaca yarn spun and processed by hand at Hope Farm in northeast Wake County. Alpaca yarn has special properties that help maintain consistent temperatures by trapping heat in the winter and moving heat away during the summer. Pure alpaca garments will feel cool to the touch and contain no lanolin. This shawl was made from the fleeces of seven well-cared-for alpaces. Six are from peaceful Acres Alpacas in Maryland and one from a Suri Alpaca in Greensboro. With the shawl, you will also receive a sample of each alpaca's fleece with its color and animal name.
