Tempe South Rotary will once again assist the Tempe Fire Medical Rescue Department install fire detectors throughout the community where needed.
The location this year is North Tempe. Volunteers will meet at Cecil Shamley Elementary School located at 1500 N. Scovel Street in Tempe.
Attached to the School is a City of Tempe Multi-Generational Center which will serve as the hub for all the activities.
We will be installing smoke detectors and checking batteries in older, high risk homes near the Multi-Generational Center.
All necessary tools and training will be provided along with free “breakfast”.

The Tempe Fire Medical Rescue Department is an “all hazards” department that responds to all types of incidents including fires, automobile accidents, medical emergencies, hazardous materials response, technical rescues and much more. Additionally, we pride ourselves on being involved in promoting emergency preparedness, fire prevention and a variety of life safety programs.
