Take Flight 2025 Bidders Reception
Please join us on Sunday April 6th from 12 noon to 3pm for the final hours of our online art auction with a chance to meet the artists, get an up close private viewing of the works to live music and enjoy passed small bites along with wine and champagne on the Shemer Art Center private patio. This is an adult only, 21 and up, ticketed event with proceeds going to support the effort of Phoenix Rotary Club Charities.

Take Flight is a community service initiative using art to impact homelessness and youth development. Butterflies represent transformation and people in situations that lead to homelessness or people currently experiencing homelessness are in extremely transformative periods of their lives. Our partnership with the Shemer Art Center will also support youth art programs and education
.

Phoenix Rotary 100 service projects and areas of focus have included literacy and education, scholarships, vocational training, fighting food insecurity, aging out of foster care, securing alternative housing, drug rehabilitation, working with domestic abuse and human trafficking survivors and more.

As a supporter and art enthusiast, your participation can help us be People of Action in our local community!

Take Flight 2025 will feature large 40", medium 30", and petite 12" metal butterflies. Participating artists will transform blank metal sculptures into original works of art. Each transformed sculpture will be displayed during the Art in the Garden event on April 5th and 6th, 2025 (10am-4pm) held in the front lawn and sculpture area of the Shemer Art Center. Take Flight reception will run from 12:00 to 3pm. Online auction details to follow.

The auction will open several days prior to the event and bidders can register and begin bidding as soon as it opens. The auction will close at 2:45pm with some items possibly closing sooner.
