Society for Children • RI Matched Project
The Rotary Club of Newport Beach - Global Service Club has partnered with the Society for Children to help build a better future for needy children in India. Proceeds raised will be matched by Rotary District 5320 and Rotary International in order to 1) service a new children's rehabilitation center, 2) purchase a van for transporting children, and 3) establish a computer lab for education and learning.
About the Society for Children
Established in July of 2012, the Society for Children's vision is to create a just society where children are living happily and enjoying all their due rights. The mission is to identify and reach out to children who are deprived of their rightful rights, providing them with essential interventions to enable them to realize their rights and lead a life filled with happiness and fulfillment.
Founder Manoj Kumar and the Society for Children's team are dedicated to protecting children's rights, amplifying their voices, and fulfilling their dreams. They champion hope, ensuring children reach their full potential.
Programs include:
- Drug addiction and rehab programs through residential camps
- School reintegration for dropouts through the edu-bridge program
Achievements include:
- Eleven residential de-addiction camps impacting 225 children
- Seven reintegration school camps impacting 158 children
