The Dream Center has successfully served more than 2,300 trafficked girls and young women, ranging from 13 to 26 years old. Each has a harrowing story of pain, trauma, and now, survival. Trafficking statistics are astounding, as is the successful recovery work of The Dream Center.
In 2020, there was a 98% increase in online attempts by sex traffickers to recruit children. In fact, the average age of a trafficked child in Arizona is just 13; in the past 18 months, more than 340 children have been recovered in Phoenix alone. Each is a victim, and each could benefit from the support of The Dream Center’s spectrum of behavioral and medical health care, including group & individual therapy, equine & canine therapy, art therapy, emotion regulation therapy, and PTSD counseling. Helping a trafficked child learn coping skills could make the difference between functioning in society or being immobilized by trauma forever.
