Experience Surfing History with Dick Metz at SHACC

San Clemente, CA – On January 27, 2025, the Laguna Niguel Rotary will host The Evening Edition, a one-of-a-kind event celebrating the rich legacy of surfing. Held at the iconic Surfing Heritage and Culture Center (SHACC) in San Clemente, this special evening will feature a captivating talk by surf legend and SHACC founder Dick Metz.

Metz, whose adventurous travels and lifelong dedication to surfing have made him an icon, will share stories from his global expeditions and the pivotal moments that inspired the creation of SHACC. From his partnership with Hobie Alter to his mission of preserving surfing’s vibrant history, Metz’s insights promise to inform and inspire attendees.

With its walls adorned by vintage boards and historic memorabilia, SHACC provides the perfect setting for an intimate evening celebrating the sport that has captured the hearts of millions worldwide.
