How did this charity become listed on Givsum?
we are an assembly
of dancers, choreographers, and artists collaborating
to produce two dance-based events per year.
we are an incubator of new dances
by local, up-and-coming choreographers, and
of the designs and works that support them.
we welcome our community into our process
by collaborating with new artists and
placing our events in open, non-traditional
dance spaces, inviting an audience that might
not know dance (although many of our
audience members know it well).
we are based in orange county, california
and established The Assembly in early 2014.
we are currently welcoming interested
dancers, choreographers, human movers, builders,
sound engineers, musicians, painters, filmmakers,
sculptors, multimedia artists, photographers, designers,
writers, technical crew members, promoters, producers,
philanthropists, dance connoisseurs, and more
for our future shows.
