Jocabed has been passionate about being a voice for the weak since she was a teenager. She is no stranger to fighting for political and human rights causes. At an apologetics conference at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, she was confronted with the abortion topic and channeled her passion into advocating for the unborn.
Her pro life journey became especially real when she was a student at UC Berkeley. She was already fighting abortion as the president of the Students for Life chapter. But then, she got pregnant. She was not married and the pregnancy was not expected. One of her professors tried to convince her to have an abortion because her “future” would be in jeopardy if not. Jocabed’s Christian upbringing kept her steadfast in her belief that even though the child wasn’t planned, God still had a purpose for her and her baby. Tragically, Jocabed had a stillbirth at 24 weeks and buried her daughter, named Isabel, right next to her mother.
Just a few months after Jocabed buried Isabel, pro-life activists in DC intercepted a container intended for medical waste outside of the notorious Washington Surgi-Clinic. The bodies of 115 aborted children were in this container, among them five…
