I met Wyatt on a bike ride from the coast of Laguna Beach to the stables of San Juan Capistrano. I fell in love with his cheeky and snarky demeanor instantly. I visited him for months until I could rescue him from a bad situation.
My children's book "Wyatt and Boy Dreamer" was conceptualized at a time when I was medically in a very vulnerable state. Wyatt, my horse, came to me in a dream when heavily sedated in the hospital after surgery. He offered me comfort and hope. Wyatt's presence conveyed a powerful persuasion, a surreal but vivid dream calling me to fight for my life. This impactful experience helped me handle the fear as I have been battling metastatic cancer for many years.
After rescuing Wyatt, my life became more meaningful as I cared for this majestic creature. I learned that being in the present was necessary and life-fulfilling. Our Hearts have been inseparable ever since I met him.
