JLT Fieldhouse   

JLT Fieldhouse, Inc. was established in honor of my father, Sgt. Major Joe Lewis Thompson, USMC. He was a role model who encouraged me to pursue my aspirations and not just talk about them. As a young child, he adopted my older brother and me, raising us as his own and instilling in us the importance of giving back and following our hearts. He served the United States Marine Corps for 30 years, including two tours in Vietnam. Unfortunately, he lost his battle with Leukemia in 1996. Since then, I have been determined to honor his legacy by giving back to the community.

JLT Fieldhouse is a nonprofit 501c3 organization that offers intensive one-on-one and team-oriented basketball training throughout the year. We also provide lessons in leadership, teamwork, goal setting, and overcoming obstacles. Our primary focus is on the fundamentals of basketball, but we also work on developing cross-over athletic skills, building self-esteem, and emphasizing the value of team success over individual achievement. Our goal is to mentor and coach life skills while establishing a foundation to provide educational assistance to both JLT Fieldhouse participants and non-participants in the community.
