Youth signup for Fall 2016 - Boatswain of the Deck (BOD) for Saturday drop-in fun boating

This is a youth position open only to those youth who have held Crew Leader, Boatswain and Boatswain Mate offices.

This is a paid Swabby position for four hours from 1300 to 1700 on Saturday afternoons.  Participants report to and are given direction from the Officer of the Deck.  Duties are those assigned by the Officer of the Deck.  Participants will have authority over all youth activities on Saturday afternoons with the exception of designated instructional programs.  These activities shall include but not be limited to the supervision of rigging and down rigging of vessels and the securing of the base at the end of the day.  The BOD is expected to actively, physically help in the rigging and down rigging of equipment.
