Please consider purchasing insurance when you purchase airfare.

Volunteers will need to purchase airfare to Bocas Del Toro, Panama.  We recommend COPA Airlines from LAX to Panama City, then Air Panama to Bocas Del Toro Airport.

Options:

SURFING, SCUBA LESSONS, DIVE TRIPS:

We can adjust volunteer schedules for people who want to surf or dive.  This trip is meant to volunteer while enjoying this Caribbean Paradise, not a dental clinic with limited recreation.  Bocas is the BEST place to get certified.  We have negotiated scuba discounts with the local dive shop.

EXCURSIONS: Optional extended trips and Panama City trip options on return.  Visit the Canal and Casa Viejo for the evening.  We will also offer tree planting excursions and snorkel trips to our Rotary Reef project.

SCHOLARSHIPS:  There are a limited number of small scholarships for students who help prepare for the clinic, recruit volunteers, and transport equipment.

Message from

Capt Dryden Granger, Ayuda Clinic Director

Dear Ayuda Family,

We are excited to announce the revival of our international clinics! This August, we’re heading to the breathtaking Bocas del Toro, Panama—a place where our services are critically needed by the indigenous community and an idyllic spot to enjoy a tropical vacation.

Ayuda 2.0

We have shifted our outreach goals and plan to return to Bocas del Toro regularly to ensure sustained care and support, focusing on creating a lasting impact by committing to communities with significant needs.

Clinic Days: August 19-22, 2024

We’ve designed our schedule to balance work and leisure. Volunteers will be scheduled in shifts, allowing you to surf, take scuba diving lessons, or simply relax. If you prefer, you can also work full days to maximize your chair time and experience.

Special Activities:

· August 23: Dolphin Bay Boat Cruise, tree planting, a visit to a chocolate farm, and a delightful lunch.

· August 24: Snorkeling at Rotary Reef off Isla Solarte. These activities, along with breakfast, lunch, and dinner on clinic days, are included in your fee.

Hosting these clinics is costly due to the need to transfer patients from outer islands via boat to our air-conditioned clinic, conveniently located within walking distance from our lodging. While some volunteers have asked to book their own hotels, the clinic fee includes not only accommodation but also all necessary supplies, equipment transfers, and patient transport. Additionally, the fee covers dining at excellent restaurants and cocktails on clinic nights.

Special Offer for Students:

Students can secure their spot with a nonrefundable deposit of $200.00

Givsum will set up a funding page, allowing you to seek support from friends and family. However, please note that airfare is not included. Attached is the flight itinerary that some of our leadership team will be taking.  Join us in making a difference while experiencing the beauty and adventures of Panama.  Sign up today to be part of this unforgettable journey!
