Erie Rotary Club Supports Erie High School Model United Nations Conference
Model United Nations (MUN) conferences bring together students from around the district (Skyline and Erie High) to act as representatives of the United Nations in debate and discussion designed to solve global concerns. The April 8th conference runs from 8:00 to 3:00 at Erie High School and includes a continental breakfast and lunch. A 30-minute training will be available at the start of the conference
Volunteer Judges for the MUN Conference will observe students use parliamentary procedures to model the work of the United Nations. Student delegates, representing countries from around the world, will present their country's position, debate policies, create alliances, write resolutions, compromise, and hopefully vote on and pass resolutions designed to promote the well-being of the world. Judges use a MUN rubric to record feedback for each student delegate. As you can see, the conference will address past, present, and future concerns.
