Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I am writing to invite you to a short evening of edu-tainment this October 29th at 5:30pm that I have come to call Scary World Economic Night. Here’s what this is about.
For years our community has benefitted from the Chapman University economic outlook program. It particularly helped us understand events that might impact the Orange County economy. Our goal here is similar, but with a slightly broader perspective.
As the world gets more connected by the day, it seems international economics becomes more and more relevant to our lives, too. For that reason, I thought we might benefit from a forum with a bit more focus on international economic events. And right now they are a bit scary, at least to me. So, that is the focus of this pre-Halloween event.
For a couple of years, I have been following comments from three colleagues. Often, I have repeated their insights wishing I could share more. In fact, I often wondered how they’d respond to each other’s insights. So, that’s the basic plan for our night.
